ABOUT

Ethel Clarke was a watercolourist, oil painter, weaver and lacemaker in the late 1940’s early 1950’s. She exhibited with the West Australian Society of Arts and Western Australian Women’s Society of Fine Arts and Crafts. Clarke exhibited A Yachtman’s Day and Christmas Trees in the Claude Hotchin Art Prize in 1949 and Sunset Benediction with the West Australian Society of Arts in 1952. Clarke also exhibited handwoven scarves and Honiton lace with Western Australia Society of Fine Arts and Crafts during this period.
